Rockets Draft Pick Montrezl Harrell Helps Save Motorist After Crash in Louisville
Looks like Houston Rockets draft pick Montrezl Harrell is someone you’d like to have by your side on and off the court. This weekend the former Louisville basketball star helped save a motorist from a burning car that had crashed near the University of Louisville campus.
Kenny Klein, Louisville senior associate athletic director for media relations, confirmed Harrell’s good deed on Twitter last night, noting that Harrell helped other good Samaritans kick in the overturned vehicle’s window and ran to get a fire extinguisher from a nearby business. He then waited with the vehicle’s driver and others for fire crews to arrive.

The 21-year-old Harrell spent three seasons as forward at Louisville, helping them win an NCAA championship in 2013. In the 2015 NBA draft, he was drafted No. 32 by the Rockets.
Can’t wait to welcome you to Houston, Harrell. We like you already.
