On the 14th anniversary of 9/11 several Houston-area restaurants are offering free meals to first responders, KHOU reported this morning. Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs can eat lunch or dinner for free at any of Hubcap Grill’s locations and at any Kim Son Restaurant or Café, including NAM (Noodles and More).

Here’s the full list of restaurants (that we know of) cooking up free grub for first responders today:

Hubcap Grill gives half off to first responders every other day of the year that they’re open. Owner Ricky Craig is just baller like that.

Later today is also the deadline for Kim Son’s 9/11 essay contest. They’re giving away $2,500 in scholarships to Houston-area elementary, middle, and high-school students who best answer the question, “What is one positive thing you could do to change the world?”

If you know of any other restaurants supporting our first responders with freebies, let us know in the comments and we’ll add them to the list.
